agnès b. presented her women's fall/winter 2017/2018 collection under the spectacular paintings of the Galerie Turenne at the Hotel des Invalides. Inspired by a 17th century engraving, a detail of which she transformed into woven jacquard fabric, agnès b. presented a multi-faceted collection. The feminine silhouettes of wool tweed suits work harmoniously with sportswear items or a neoprene snap cardigan. As usual in her designs, carefully selected rough materials include alpaca, flannel and wool cloth mixed with softer materials such as silk, mohair and mesh.
Each season, for a few years now, agnès has invited a young designer to present their work during the agnès b. défilé. These designs always bear the name of the young designer on a special label. Anne Blanchard is costume designer for theater, cinema, performances. For agnès b., she created a small, ideal wardrobe adapted to everyday life. Particularly careful to the shape, the line, as well as the history of the garment, she takes inspiration from the woman from the 40s… her stylish silhouettes with shoulders and marked waist. She chose colors and refined patterns for a subtle elegance.
Both a feminine and masculine style can be found in a tennis stripe suit, colorful printed dresses with agnès b.’s photos warmed by a camel straight-cut full-grain calfskin coat or a small fake fur cape, sleeveless embroidered sheepskin vest or long clean line wool muslin dresses as a tribute to Vermeer… next winter will be smart, warm and colorful!see all looks
As a nice surprise, Jeanne Added appeared at the end of the show singing "Look at them!" A French singer-songwriter, and music scene revelation, her voice brought us to a timeless moment. This cellist, who studied in the London Royal Academy and Paris Conservatory, first sung with several jazz musicians before beginning a solo career with the release of an electro rock single in 2011.
